Hunting for Prince's Vault (BBC Documentary by Mobeen Azhar March 2015) by The Gray Area Show on Mixcloud [dead link, now from Soundcloud!]

Over the past week I've had a few people asking me "does Prince really have a vault full of unreleased music in his house?". And I've been like "Yeah! I thought everyone knows that?". Apparently not.

It's old news amongst the Purple Army that His Royal Badness' prolific nature has yielded a lifetime of as-yet unheard music (a large chunk of which circulates amongst bootleggers and fans, some in my collection!), but it seems like new news at the moment in the music press due to the arrival of a short film on the iPlayer and an hour-long documentary on the BBC World Service - which was uploaded to Mixcloud and is available here for your listening pleasure.

Educate yourself! Interviews include old band members such as Eric Leeds (my joint fav Sax player with Maceo) and his tour manager brother Alan, who has worked with James Brown and D'Angelo amongst others.
