What’s good, people? Wilsoni Tha’ Funk Masta here, bringing an injection for the Funk Junkies:
So on Wednesday, I got a little note from Prince...
Not personal, obviously. Rather curiously, P seems to have done a little backroom deal with LiveNation – as I got an e-mail through my inbox to this effect: [ezcol_1half]A Note From PrinceSorry 2 bother U.Just wanted 2 send U this baby picture of Judith Hill with Her 1st piano.Loox like her parents, who r also musicians- had a plan. Well, that plan succeeded. This is Judith Hill's debut album BACK IN TIME.
Please spend some time with this music and then share it with someone U love.

The story goes, despite being featured on the US version of The Voice, it was an interview on a European TV show that drove Prince to track Judith down and offer up his skills in production, songwriting and general spotlight-shining.
Whilst an accomplished artist in her own right – providing BVs for the likes of MJ, Stevie and Elton John (featuring on the recent documentary 20 Feet from Stardom), this record will certainly help in giving Judith the exposure she deserves.
I'm pimping the lead track “As Trains Go By” mainly for that rude synth bass, but I recommend “Wild Tonight” and “My People” for ridiculous NPG grooving, or “Cry, Cry, Cry” if you're on a more old-skool R&B ballad tip.
It's certainly put a smile on my face!
